Q-Sight Clients

 

Q-Sight clients can have several different configurations:

  • Defect registration and  Repair
  • Paperless Repair

 

Paperless documentation and work instructions

is the standard functionality of all Q-Sight clients and has many advantages. The speed of availability and the accuracy of the work instructions will increase and it will allow operators to react quickly. Productivity will also improve because the instructions to perform an operation are delivered directly to the operator. In the background the system automation ensures that the operator has the most current product revision information available and so the production quality and efficiency will increase. The paperless documentation client is also the basis for the defect registration and the repair clients.  Defect registration can be done in parallel to manufacturing, saving valuable production time.

 

Defect Registration and Repair

The defect and repair clients offer a fast, high-productivity detailed defect registration, in parallel to the totally integrated online production documentation process. This functionality can be used as an independent toolset for both production and field return services.

 

Paperless Repair

Q-Sight supports the repair process of manufacturing defects as well as field returns. After entering the serial number of a product (barcode scan or manually), all stored defect data for the repair process as well as the product data is accessed from the Q-Sight server and automatically loaded into the viewer. The defects are graphically located and highlighted to support the repair process. There is no difference in handling between production or field return units; all relevant information is immediately available.
