CXInsight Product Data Management (PDM)
CXInsight PDM provides everything required for the management and control of all product data in an unlimited hierarchical structure. This includes independency of all data types and applications, automatic revision control & revisions compare, hierarchical MetaBOM editor, integrated CAD/CAM data viewers, configurable concurrent modifications, as well as other specialized functions for the electronics development process. CXInsight's hierarchical product data management is developed to handle fast changing dynamic data in design and engineering including software and firmware development,as well as new product introduction (NPI) and volume production in a distributed environment.
Very little overhead
Formal PDM systems typically handle dynamic data sets with tremendous overhead, which can make intermediate archiving during development and engineering either inefficient, problematic or overlooked (ignored...). With CXInsight we have created a PDM tool with a natural and intuitive GUI and a high level of automation in the back ground to minimise overhead. The unique ‘project room' methodology of our project management offers a secure and central access point for all relevant product data available for everyone involved in the project. After a product dataset has been stabilized it can be 'frozen' by the project manager with one single function, the Release-to-Production facility. This dataset can be made available for manufacturing and/or archived within the PLM functionality of CXInsight or uploaded to a large corporate formal PLM system for long term storage.
