CXInsight Release-to-Production (RTP)
CXInsight RTP manages the crucial transfer process of a product from design to manufacturing with the ‘release-to-production' facility. The RTP function creates a product data set, which can be used by one or multiple suppliers for the physical production of a defined product configuration.
The RTP Wizard
The customer configurable RTP wizard assesses the data set on complete and unfinished tasks before it is copied to a protected directory, ‘frozen and labeled' and then released to production. The RTP procedure is then completed by a formal ‘delivery' process through a variety of methods (FTP, e-mail, shared project drive, CXI-S2S) with an e-mail notification to the receiver. Another notification will then inform the project manager when a particular project member has picked up the data set.
Production Release Notification
Trigger and notification are important functions within CXInsight. With this functionality not only the project managers, but also the project members can closely follow the progress of a project. They receive real time warnings and information concerning activities or events regarding the project. When a transaction changes status, an entry is added to the events list and/or an e-mail notification is sent to a specified members list of the transaction involved.
